Today, the world witnessed another powerful moment in Black excellence as the legendary Sheryl Lee Ralph was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A true icon whose career has spanned across television, film, and Broadway, Ralph was celebrated on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, with the 2,808th star, recognizing her impact in the Television category.

Sheryl Lee Ralph is not only a trailblazing actress, singer, and advocate—she’s also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., representing the strength and grace of sisterhood at the highest level. From captivating audiences as Deena Jones in Dreamgirls to winning hearts in her current role on Abbott Elementary, Ralph’s talent knows no bounds. Her powerful voice—both on stage and in advocacy—continues to inspire generations.

The star-studded ceremony took place at 6623 Hollywood Boulevard, with guest tributes from her Abbott Elementary co-star Quinta Brunson and longtime friend Loretta Devine. The event was emceed by Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner, with fans and sorors showing up in full support.

Off the stage and screen, Ralph is a devoted philanthropist. Through her organization, The DIVA Foundation, she’s been a tireless advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness, health equity, and community empowerment.
