Alpha Eta Memorial Day Weekend

Alpha Eta Memorial Day Weekend

St.Louis Alphas take on Memorial Day weekend once again, with multiple events for the community.

"The Wave" kicked the weekend off on May 26th, Alpha Eta hosted a pool party that was free of entry at Saint Louis University. Alpha Eta has established a great relationship with SLU's staff according to fraternity member Adam Haley as they have previously held this event there.

"There was great diversity and we informed many SLU students on Greek life," Haley said.

To cool off the attendants Ice Cold Ice Cones were served and fraternity member Ysaye Ellis controlled the beats.

The next night Alpha Eta hosted their own "Lit by Any Means" party which brought in a lot of people and a "great Greek representation". This event had an extended RSVP list causing a location change. The party was held at Aromas in down town St. Louis. Tickets went on sale a few weeks before the event and continued to sell.

Memorial Day was their 25th Annual Barbeque, and was held at Spanish Lake Pavillion. The event started at 12 pm and was free of charge  Alpha Eta came in early to set up and grill, and had help from individuals close to the chapter. DJ PSwagg from the Sigma Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha also DJ'ed this event.

Alpha Eta host these events to “give the whole city of St. Louis appreciation” the reason why they made multiple events free because they wanted these events to be for the community. Alpha Eta's next event will be in August as they participate in the 36th Annual Midwest Marchdown.
