Petition for Ethel Hedgeman-Lyle U.S. Postage Stamp

A petition has been launched to place Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. founder Ethel Hedgeman-Lyle on U.S. Postage stamps. Not only is Ethel responsible for establishing the sorority, but she is also known for being an outstanding educator and civic leader. After graduating from Howard University, Ethel traveled to Eufala, Oklahoma where she taught music and also taught in Centralia, Illinois in 1911.
