Midwest Marchdown 2016
Since 1981, the Alpha Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has organized the Annual Midwest Marchdown Scholarship Step Show. Due to the continuous growth, the event has been held at the following venues: The Pageant in the Delmar Loop, the Touhill Performing Arts Theater.
On average, this event has attendance of 800-1200 patrons from children to grandparents. In 2014, the event grossed $27,000 in ticket sales providing the winning fraternity and sorority with $2000 each to donate to their charity of choice and $2000 in college scholarships.
The Alpha Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., representing eight universities in the greater St. Louis area, will convene for its Annual Midwest Marchdown Scholarship Step Show on August 6, 2016 at The Pageant located in the Delmar Loop. Since the step show premiered back in 1981, the Midwest Marchdown has awarded over $35,000 in academic scholarships and $130,000 in prize money to deserving students & organizations who also donate to charities of their choice.
