Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Central Regional Conference Brought Energy and Impact to St. Louis

This past weekend, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. hosted its 91st Central Regional Conference in downtown St. Louis, filling the city with purpose, pride, and pink and green. From April 3 to April 6, more than 4,200 members of the sorority gathered at the America’s Center Convention Complex for a powerful weekend of sisterhood, service, and celebration.

Themed “Soaring in the Lou: Opulence in Bloom,” the conference not only united members from across the region, but also left a lasting impression on the local economy. The influx of attendees brought an estimated $5 million to downtown St. Louis, with hotels, restaurants, and small businesses seeing a major boost.



Throughout the weekend, attendees engaged in impactful workshops, service initiatives, and networking sessions designed to empower women and deepen the sorority’s community impact. From leadership development to civic engagement, the event was a reflection of Alpha Kappa Alpha’s ongoing legacy of excellence and service.
