"Say Her Name: The Life and Death of Sandra Bland" To Premiere Soon

Sandra Bland was initiated into the Delta Alpha chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. on the campus of Prairie View A&M University. On July 10th, 2015, she was stopped by a police officer for failure to signal a lane change which then lead to an arrest. Bland was found hanged in a jail cell on July 13th, 2015, which many did not believe was a plausible cause of death.

Since this tragic event, HBO began producing a documentary on Sandra Bland Which is now ready for release. "Say Her Name: The Life and Death of Sandra Bland"  will be shown at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

This documentary film will show Bland's family still searching for answers about her death.

The documentary will be shown four times at the film festival from April 25th to 28th and will show later in 2018 on HBO.
